Richardson Architecture Ltd was formed in 2006 by RIBA Architect Jim Richardson. Jim studied at the University of Brighton (where he was awarded a First Class degree) and subsequently in Brno, Czech Republic, then at Kingston University in London. Richardson Architecture Ltd is fully RIBA Chartered and works on all stages of a project. We predominantly specialise in Housing Design, for private clients and developers, although we have experience of many other types of design ranging from schools and offices, to industrial units and commercial schemes. Our approach to each project is Client led. We try to base the scheme strongly on what our client's want, and then add our own expertise to arrive at the best possible design. Environmental issues and using sustainable techniques are encouraged and we tend to include these in a subtle way. Predominantly our designs are traditional, as we have found this approach allows our schemes to sit more comfortably in the rural and historic settings where many of them are located. Together with our award winning traditional schemes we also do design contemporary work, and have been shortlisted on two international RIBA competitions for contemporary designs.
