The practice was established in 1984 and is now based in the historic town of Battle in a converted mediaeval hall house. AHA is a registered practice with the Royal Institute of British Architects. AHA are a member of the Battle Chamber of Commerce and are involved in many of its activities. Alan holds an Honours Diploma in Architecture and is a Chartered Architect. Prior to the establishment of Alan Hunting Associates in 1984 he worked for the Property Services Agency involved in large scale projects such as an Officers’ Mess at Manston Airport, the Courts and Crown Offices at Canterbury and the redevelopment of Portsmouth Dockyard. In his spare time Alan enjoys cycling and for several years has taken part in the London to Brighton Bike Ride. David is a Chartered Building Surveyor, a corporate building engineer and chartered architectural technologist. He has a special interest in historic buildings and before joining AHA worked in private practice and then for the National Trust. In his spare time David is a keen landscape photographer.
