Owner Andrew has been dealing in antiques for over 30 years. It all started from a very early age when his mother would take him to Birmingham rag market on a Monday morning before the school run and she would buy furniture, often stacked up high on a roof rack on top of her Volvo estate. At the age of eight Andrew started collecting Victorian bottles and would build up a collection to sell once a year to a Dutch dealer called Hans. After leaving school at age 17 he began selling at markets in London, Camden Passage on a Wednesday, Bermondsey market early Friday morning and then Portobello on a Saturday. The rest of the week he was running around auctions and antique fairs and this was the catalyst for his addiction to buying and selling antiques He soon fell in love with the characters and lifestyle of antique world and knew that this was his passion. He opened his first antique shop in Cotswolds at age 22 and now has an award winning antique business, Blighty, and has made Gloucestershire his family home.
