I went back to college, and at the age of 35, I became a student again! I took a Science GCSE, then an Access Course and finally my Bsc Degree in Nutrition, Excercise and Health. I loved every moment and met some great friends along the way. Since I have been qualified, I have had many opportunities to work with a wonderful array of people, offering them hints and tips that have helped them lead healthier lives. I have directed 'Meet and Eat' sessions for over 50-year-old's, helping them become more confident in the kitchen and eat healthier meals, as well as making new friends. I have worked with a big selection of families, in children centres and schools, developing their cooking skills and sharing practical nutrition advice. In the last few years, I have been involved with people with learning difficulties, and I have enjoyed helping them and their carers learn about portion sizes and giving advice on healthy choices.
