Gradually, Marc developed the business, opening further outlets including two galleries in the city centre, specialising in the exhibiting of contemporary Scottish art and enlisting help from his sister as well as his mother in the running of these....even his brother helped in the framing workshop....so a real family business! After travelling for a year, he came home needing a further challenge. This was to be fine art publishing - producing signed limited edition prints by many well known Scottish artists, selling and supplying to galleries and gift shops across the country as well as in their own outlets. The very sad and sudden death of his father, Christopher in 1999, the bedrock of so much in Marc, as well as the business, and a very well respected man in the Edinburgh art and framing scene, led to changes. These eventually culminated in the purchase of The Atholl Gallery, one which Marc had visited, bought from and even supplied prints to in the years before. The well established Atholl Gallery has been showcasing and selling the best of Scottish contemporary art for nearly 30 years. The gallery has regularly changing exhibitions by well known Scottish artists as well as emerging talent.
