I originally studied photography at Salisbury College of Art and went on to work as a first assistant to a well known still life photographer in London. In 1985 I set up my own photographic studio in Hackney specialising in still life commissions for advertising agencies, books and magazines. In 1998 I decided to change direction and to follow my love of garden design and plants. I trained at The English Gardening School at The Chelsea Physic Garden and graduated with a distinction in Garden Design and won the Best Hardworks Portfolio of the year. In 1999 I set up my own garden design studio based within my walled garden in Penshurst where I work on a variety of garden design commissions from private clients based throughout London, Kent and Sussex.
