My name is Rowan Imolc. I am a 35 year old female from the Leeds area. I have spent most of my adult life so far in Paris, France where I initially studied French at the Sorbonne University. I went on to complete a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics and began my career in Policy work for a branch of the British Embassy in Paris (UK Delegation to the OECD). My main interest areas were Education, Social Policy and Health; but I became frustrated that I could not make any real changes to policy or make a positive shift to peoples’ lives. A few years ago I decided to come back to England and I changed my career path to an area in which I had the potential to help people make a difference to their own lives. I studied a BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) accredited Masters degree in Counselling Psychology at Keele University. Since then I have worked with children and adults in school and charity settings before settling into private practice in Leeds city centre. Since I completed my Masters degree in Person-centred counselling, I have enjoyed building up expertise by training in the following areas: Online Counselling, Couples Counselling, Transpersonal Counselling, Life Coaching, Pluralistic Counselling, Counselling with Intent, Inner Child Work, Mindfulness, and Meditation and Relaxation.
