There are various cautions that a user has to take before performing the Firmware update process of a router. During the Firmware update, make sure that the router is having a wired connection. A wireless connection can lead to firmware update failure. You can download the latest version of firmware through the official Netgear website and can upload it into the router using the routerlogin.net interface.
