Most people instinctively know that talking problems through helps us when we are in distress. We need to process our thoughts and feelings, and so it’s good to talk, think and even dream about the issues on your mind. It is most helpful to do this with a therapist who can help you gain new self-awareness and insights, so that you can move forward with your life more quickly. All sorts of people now go to counselling or psychotherapy and find it very helpful in resolving a broad range of personal issues. There are many different types of talking therapy available these days. I am an integrative psychotherapist, meaning that I bring together certain aspects of different approaches that I believe work better together, including person-centred, humanistic, psychodynamic and CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy). I can therefore also tailor my way of working to what you need.
