I studied graphic design at college (thanks BCoT!) and found a work experience place alongside my studies so I could start putting my learning into practice in the real world. I’m pleased to say the work experience place turned into a full time job. It was a fairly small company but that just gave me more opportunities to try new things and gain more skills, rather than being pidgeon-holed into one role. I was really happy with them for nearly ten years. Late in 2009, I started thinking about setting up my own studio. The challenge of having my own clients and developing new creative services for them was very tempting. In 2010, I took the plunge and Pulse8 was born. In spite of having been in this business for around 20 years now, the creative challenge still inspires me. Even when I’m ‘off duty’, I carry my camera and drone wherever I go, just in case the perfect moment arrives.
