Mark took his final Architecture exams at Birmingham School of Architecture in 2008, for which he was awarded a Commendation. Prior to this he achieved a BA (Hons) Degree in Architecture from Portsmouth University in 1998, followed by graduating with both a Diploma in Architecture and Diploma in Built Resource Studies from Oxford School of Architecture in 2001. Prior to setting up as a sole practitioner Mark worked for over six years as Associate at a small architectural practice in the West Midlands. Historically he worked for nearly four years at design led commercial practice Level Seven Architects where he was lead Architect on a number of prestigious projects. Whilst studying in Oxford Mark worked for the award winning and critically acclaimed Aldington, Craig & Collinge Architects, the design philosophy of which has since been heavily influential on his approach to Architecture. For a period after completing his studies Mark was fortunate to work at award winning Melbourne based practice Metier 3 Architects in Australia. Mark's project experience to date ranges in scale from bespoke staircases, dwelling extensions, listed building alterations and ‘one off’ dwellings, to a 38 storey mixed use skyscraper in Birmingham and a 58,000 square metre retail park in Rome.
