The tradition goes far further back than that to Sir Edwin Lutyens (1869-1944) without whose extraordinary legacy of design and vision, we would have had nothing to build on. Our collection embraces the mission of three generations of the Lutyens family, Sir Edwin himself whose work is the basis for the majority of it, his son Robert — a talented architect, decorator and furniture designer in his own right and Robert’s daughter, Candia, now at the helm of the company, and with her own contribution through new designs and adaptations. 2019 is the sesquicentenary of Sir Edwin Lutyens as well as the centenary of one of our flagship products, the Napoleon chair, which remains as classically timeless as it was when Lutyens designed it for his own home in 1919. Join us in marking this special year with our new website which, for the first time, merges our classic and contemporary ranges and introduces several new pieces for their first outing.
