Armstrong Vinton Furniture has been crafting bespoke high-end furniture and architectural joinery since 2002. Working on state-of-the-art machinery (digitally accurate to 1/10th of a millimetre), whilst encouraging and cultivating traditional hand skills, the South West London based firm currently employs 20 full time craftspeople — including a regular intake of apprentices. Founded by Matthew Armstrong and Simon Vinton, both alumni of Birmingham City University’s respected Furniture Design degree course, the young designers built the company on a small grant from the Prince’s Trust and the volunteered business acumen of their assigned mentor, a former CEO of General Electrics. Now operating out of an expansive workshop in Parsons Green, Fulham, the company continues to grow. Built solely on recommendations and returning clients, AVF now exports its custom-made furniture across the globe.
