Exams may be taken in all subjects, this enables children to gain the sense of achievement and something to aim for. Pupils are given the chance to audition for professional pantos and shows. Small displays are performed which gives pupils the chance to show their work to friends and family. Pupils of The June white Academy of Dance and Drama are encouraged to develop their understanding and enjoyment of acting through practical lessons,team building exercises,script work,improvisation and performance.Lessons are structured to suit different abilities and every student is given the opportunity to showcase their work throughout the year. LAMDA exams may be taken as well as festival competition work. By exploring a series of fundamental skills such as characterisation, movement, sense memory, emotional memory and voice, students develop a good grounding in performance technique.
