The school was founded 48 years ago under the name of Camberley and Frimley Schools of Ballet. The principal/owner was Sheena Rawlins LRAD and the Patron was originally Travis Kemp. Upon his death he was succeeded by the Late Frank Freeman ARAD - RAD Examiner - Royal Ballet Company. When Sheena Rawlins decided to retire 26 years ago Natalie Wraight started to teach in the school and has been the principal/owner for 24 years. The name of the school was changed to the Camberley Dance Academy in 2003. The Academy has continued to grow as both a popular and highly successful school. The school’s aims are to provide a happy, friendly and disciplined enviroment in which pupils will enjoy learning and be inspired to achieve results of the highest possible standards. Royal Academy of Dance (Ballet) and Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (Tap & Modern) examinations are offered at the discretion of the Principal, and all pupils perform in the highly professional shows. The teaching of dance in these genres encourages confidence, poise, co-ordination, fitness and rhythm.
