We are a friendly, professional family osteopathy clinic, here to help you manage and ease those biomechanical aches and pains, to inform and empower you to improve your understanding and thus self management of your problems, allowing you to get on with whatever it is you want to do! Osteopaths are trained to diagnose holistically, treating the whole person rather than just the patient's symptoms. An accurate, holistic diagnosis leads to better treatment and better results, with better long-term prognosis on account of a more accurate prescription of rehabilitation exercise and all-round health and well-being advice. I qualified in 1999 with an Honours degree in Osteopathy from the European School of Osteopathy in Boxley, Kent and its international affiliations. I am fascinated by biomechanics and the dynamic function - and dysfunction - of human anatomy in all its forms and expressions. In terms of osteopathic principles, it is heartening to see these days the acceptance of models of pain theorised by osteopaths back in the 1950s, now thoroughly validated by neurophysiologists describing the clear pathways and offering a possible explanation of chronic pain with the central sensitisation model. As a practitioner, I believe we need to "mind our bodies"; my mission is to help resolve problems with movement and pain. I treat patients of all ages, presenting with many and various symptoms and conditions; I have a particular interest in the ventilation and digestive difficulties of new-borns and infants.
