Traditional acupuncture has been used as part of Chinese and Oriental medicine for thousands of years in the relief of health matters and complaints. In the 21st century, millions of people worldwide receive acupuncture to manage their health. In the UK each month, approximately 100,000 acupuncture sessions are delivered by members of the leading professional body, the British Acupuncture Council of Great Britain. I am a graduate in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the University of Salford, and I am licensed to practice acupuncture treatment in Wigan, Warrington, Chorley and Salford Metropolitan Borough areas. I adhere to the Codes of Practice, Ethics and Health and Safety standards of this professional body. The BAcC was formed in 1995 and now has nearly 3000 members making it the largest body of professional acupuncturists in the UK.
