R&D Tax Credits:

Research and Development Expenditure Credit (RDEC), also known as R&D Tax Credits are a government initiative aimed at encouraging innovation in UK businesses. The system works by allowing businesses to reclaim some of the money they have spent on research and development in the form of a tax credit. It’s often thought that they are only available to large businesses, or tech companies. In fact, many SMEs and companies who have been subcontracted to do R&D for a large company are also eligible.

If you spend money in your business on the development of new processes, services or even products, you may be eligible. A successful REDC application can be awarded in the shape of cash payment or Corporation Tax reductions.

VAT:

At Accurox we are experienced in all aspects of VAT. We’ll alert you if your activities have any VAT liability and if you need to register. In some cases, it can be an advantage to voluntarily register for VAT, even if you don’t meet the threshold (currently £85,000 turnover per annum).
