JOHNSONS SWIMMING SCHOOL was founded in 1971 by John Johnson. He built the pool himself in a disused Co-op building. It was considered at the time an unusual venture but John took a chance and made a success. Here we are 48 years later. The school is now run by husband and wife team Ged and Maria along with their eldest son Ben. Ged and Ben provide the professional teaching and Maria is the office manager.
Bring your children along to be assessed on site by one of our trained professional instructors. We will add you child to the right level on our courses and help them progress through our structured swimming sylabus. All of our instructors have undertaken full CRB checks and have a professional and friendly manner. They are strong swimming instructors and pass our stringent instructor test to become part of the team.
