On January 4 1999, Drs. Bangert, Lucas and Trimble opened Village Veterinary Hospital's (VVH) doors for business and welcomed both old and new clients to their new practice. The first couple of years were full of the usual business start-up problems as well as great successes. The doctors' long-time clients and patients gradually rediscovered us and it was great to be reunited with them.
VioVet Ltd was founded in 2006 by Luke Cousins, the then 16-year-old son of a successful St Albans-based vet and veterinary nurse. The business was initially an experiment to help the family's veterinary practice sell medication and feeds online following a change to the laws governing the sale of prescription medications.
Major operations are carried out at our fully equipped Macmerry Surgery, which has the latest technology to help us care for your pet. Your pet can be dropped off at any of our branches and will be safely transported by Ambulance to Macmerry and returned to your branch for collection. There is a small charge for this service.
