Today, that ethos remains, yet the business has now grown to be the largest independent flooring retailer in the region with over 15 stores across three counties. Wilsons Carpets are one of just five Rotherham based businesses listed in the London Stock Exchange Group's '1,000 Companies to Inspire Britain' report, which identifies the UK's most dynamic and fastest growing small and medium sized enterprises. Wilsons Carpets is still a family owned business to this day and celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2018. At its head remain key members of the Wilson family, including William Wilson's sons and grandsons, each ensuring that the original ethos remains at the company's core: "The best deal for our customers. The business continues to innovate and invest in stores and infrastructure and recruit new talent from the industry, whilst also investing in training to help breed excellence at every touch point.
