British Theatre Dance Association is accredited to and represented on the joint Examination Board of the Council for Dance and Training. The association was established in 1976 and has schools registered all over Britain and abroad including, New Zealand, Australia, Canada and South Africa. Patrons include, Brian Rodgers and Englebert Humperdink. B.T.D.A. also has a full time college – Leicester College of Performing Arts which opened in 1999. British Theatre is currently the only association that offers a Modelling programme with 5 Grades and a Diploma. Principal, Wendy Oram was a former dancer and singer in Cabaret, Theatre & TV and has travelled extensively during her career. Now a qualified teacher and examiner with B.T.D.A. in Stage & Classical she is an experienced choreographer in dance and the fashion industry. Wendy aims to educate pupils who want to dance or model as a hobby or to take it to a professional level in the industry.
