During her long career, she has been instructed in every type of Family case, from heartrending problems over abandoned, abused or difficult children to the bitterest disputes over substantial or limited wealth, inherited assets and family companies. Having practised for over 20 years first as a barrister and then in both small and large Solicitors firms, Ursula set up her ‘niche’ divorce practice in 2005, believing that clients going through the trauma of marital breakdown needed a really personal service. She and her assistant, Nichola Porter LLB, (a graduate member of the Institute of Legal Executives, and a specialist in Family Law) are proud to offer clients a service which they believe is second to none. Ursula is a firm believer that whether a case concerns children or money and property, a negotiated settlement achieved through mediation or negotiation is in the interests both parties. However, experience has proved to her that many cases cannot be resolved in this way and recourse to the Courts becomes inevitable.
