(For the person that has everything!) Established in 1881 Trelfers Jewellers are the oldest Jewellers in Horsham. Originally trading as B.H.Trelfer, Watch & Clock Maker and Jeweller, Capel & Horsham before occupying the current premises in East Street around 1907 trading as Trelfer & Co. A 1912 issue of the West Sussex County Times contained an advert promoting a range of ‘wristlet watches’ with prices from 5s. Although prices have increased you can still buy a wristwatch from a Horsham Jewellers at Trelfers. Terry Cox came to Trelfers as a Watch and Clock maker in 1953 later managing the business before purchasing. John (Terry’s son) was involved in the business from a child and today along with his wife Pauline continues to run this independent family business.
