Having inherited a passion for gardening from my father, I am proud to have established my own successful gardening business, which has been running since 1996. My aim is to fulfil the customer’s vision of the garden they hope to achieve. This might mean making simple changes to an existing garden, or a complete overhaul of a blank canvas. Some customers will want to maintain control of design and planting, others will want me to assume responsibility for the whole thing. Sometimes people will have some ideas without really knowing how to achieve them — I enjoy the process of working with the customer to help turn their ideas into an achievable reality. Over the last ten years, we have branched out into aquatic gardening. I have undertaken projects ranging from the smallest water feature through to waterfalls and small lakes. I have kept my business relatively small scale, largely because I take pleasure in craftsmanship. I enjoy the process of turning an uninspiring space into something that is beautiful, practical and well made, and I like to be able to feel that I made it myself. I want to leave my customer with the garden they would have hoped for, a garden that I am proud to put my name to.
