Another very important difference between The Work Shop and most other agencies is that we don’t have to try and meet unrealistic targets set by “Head Office”. Targets in our industry, such as insisting a Recruitment Consultant send out 50 CV’s a day or making 100 sales calls to busy, harassed clients, are the very reason our industry does not always enjoy the best of reputations. Instead of creating a target driven culture, we employ professional, conscientious people who want to do the job properly without the need for management to enforce targets that can end up destroying the client relationship we have built up over such a long period of time. We encourage our Recruitment Consultants to “do the right thing” which means doing what is right for our Clients and for our Candidates – not what might be right for us in the short term. Our Consultants work very hard to really understand what skills and experience are required for each vacancy but more than that, they want to know what personality our clients are looking for. They will then only send our clients the CV’s of candidates that we have met or, at the very least, had an in-depth telephone conversation with if time is of the essence. That means we will not be wasting our clients time, our candidates time or of course, our time.
