John attended Chipping Sodbury School before studying dentistry at Guys Hospital, University of London and graduating in 1991. He worked here at the Ridge Dental Surgery with Dr Ingrid Arntzen for 6 years and later at another practice in Bristol. In 2001 John purchased the Ridge Dental Surgery. Kathryn qualified, from Leeds University, as a dental surgeon in 2005, being placed in the top 10% of her year. Kathryn has always strived to achieve excellence in everything that she does. In 2010, Kathryn achieved membership of the General Dental Practitioners from the Royal College of Surgeons. During her professional career she has gained considerable experience in all aspects of general dentistry and works cohesively with our hygienists to provide in-depth periodontal and preventative care. Many of our patients know Björn already. He has been with us for the last 3 years and has helped with his expertise in treating complex cases. Björn graduated as a dentist from Erlangen-Nuremberg University, Germany, in 1997. After working in a research group dealing with the causes of gum disease, he obtained a doctorate in periodontology in 2001. Since he gained his first work experience in a maxillofacial hospital department, his main interests have been in oral surgery and implants while he was working in a private practice in Germany.
