The Natural Plaster Company, from our workshop near Falmouth, cover the whole of Cornwall with recent projects further afield in both Bath and London. Specialising in the craft based skills of the traditional master plasterer our work covers the manufacture and installation of handmade plaster cornice and mouldings, the restoration and repair of plain and ornate lime plasterwork, Roman cement renders and stucco work, as well as contemporary decorative uses of natural materials such as Moroccan Tadelakt and polished lime and clay plasters. Jethro Marsh is an NVQ level 3 trained fibrous and solid plasterer with over 18 years experience in the trade. From the late 90s on he worked extensively in the private domestic and commercial contract plastering sectors working with many time served tradesmen from the old school of plastering learning the skills and techniques of traditional plasterwork. He ran a successful company JM Plastering Ltd in Bristol training up two apprentices in the trade before relocating to Cornwall in 2006. For the past four years he worked with Cornwall based company Bosence Building Conservation working on many period restoration projects. Developing his skills in traditional techniques and the use of natural materials in the repair of historic plasterwork as well as adapting them for the use as decorative finishes in more modern contemporary design. With the recent re-location of Bosence, Jethro has set up The Natural Plaster Company to continue to provide these craft based skills and expertise not often found in modern building practise.
