We genuinely believe at The Counting House that 'every child matters' and that the children are the focus of everything we do. We are constantly striving to ensure that the time your child spends with us is a happy period of their life and that they have rewarding and enjoyable experiences. Allowing them many opportunities to develop into a confident, sociable and well-rounded child. We very much look forward to welcoming you and your child into one of our nurseries very soon. We took ownership of The Counting House at Birstall in August 2006, giving up our full-time jobs to throw ourselves into running our own business, with a view to building a strong and well-recognised reputation for high quality childcare. The open-plan former Zion Chapel is an excellent building for childcare, lots of space and light and gives easy access to toys & resources for the children at all times. Since those early days the business has gone from strength to strength, which led to us opening The Counting House at Heckmondwike in February 2008. Formerly known as New Royals Private Day Nursery the setting was in desperate need of some investment, some rejuvenation and a boost in morale for the staff. In simple terms we have ‘gutted’ the building and significantly modernised and re-decorated to create a fantastic looking nursery, inside & out, to meet the needs of all our children.
