Sometimes we experience overwhelming feelings of sadness, anxiety, anger, guilt, emptiness or confusion which interfere with day to day life and prevent us from functioning at our best. Sometimes we experience a life event that is difficult to cope with or is overwhelming such as bereavement, serious illness, breakdown of a relationship,trauma, loss, work related issues, redundancy. Is the uncertainty around Brexit causing additional stress or anxiety? These are all issues that I have found counselling and psychotherapy to have been helpful.
