â€Susan â€has â€been â€dog â€walking â€and â€pet â€sitting â€since â€the â€early â€1990s â€and â€spent â€several â€years â€as â€a â€veterinary â€assistant; â€learning â€how â€to â€administer â€medication, â€care â€for â€sick â€and â€injured â€animals â€and â€how â€to â€handle â€animals â€that â€may â€be â€stressed â€and â€in â€pain, â€in â€a â€sympathetic â€manner. â€Susan â€has â€regularly â€cared â€for â€elderly â€pets â€with â€special â€requirements â€and â€also â€assists â€on â€a â€weekly â€basis â€at â€puppy â€and â€dog-training â€classes; â€instructing â€owners â€in â€how â€to â€train â€their â€dogs. A keen hill walker, Susan is very used to the outdoor life, in all weather conditions! Her own dog, a Springer Spaniel called Isla, accompanies her everywhere! They are often to be seen on ferries to the Hebrides or at the summit of a far flung munro.
