Richard was born and raised in Yorkshire and attended the Liverpool University Vet School but has spent all of his working years in Devon. After several years working in mixed practice Richard decided he wanted to pursue a horses-only career and founded Stringer Equine in 2009. Richard has a particular interest in reproduction and lameness, keeping competition horses running and investigating poor performance. When not working, Richard likes to cook and play farms with his young family. He hunts when he can and keeps a flock of pedigree Greyface Dartmoor sheep and a couple of pigs (and a few horses).
