Sue Steer MRAC, FRICS FAAV is married with two children and farms Deer Park Organic Farm with her husband. Her career in the profession started in 1979 when she was the first lady to read Rural Estate Management at The Royal Agricultural College. She has since been actively involved with the Royal Institiution of Chartered Surveyors and has held posts of local branch secretary and Chairman for the Lancashire, Cheshire and Isle of Man Branch, sat on national council and is presently the Chairman of the Countryside Policy Panel. Sue is also a past Chairman of the Cheshire Association of Agricultural Valuers Association. She is presently serving on the Government's Stakeholder Working Group on Discovering Lost Ways. Sue's professional experience includes work in a range of public and private organisations including the former Ministry of Agriculture Fisheries and Food, Manchester Airport Group Plc and two private firms of Land Agents and Chartered Surveyors. She has developed a specialism in environmental land management; all aspects of rural estate management and compulsory purchase and compensation.
