I enrolled on an Anatomy and Physiology course as I needed a good solid knowledge of the workings of the body. I passed my exam and then progressed to Swedish Massage and finally Aromatherapy Massage. The whole experience was amazing, I could now advise people on what massage oils could be used to help alleviate different health conditions and how they work with the bodies systems. (Although this must never replace your GP’s advice, but can sometimes complement them.) By this time I was hooked and learned Indian Head Massage and Hopi Ear Candling, which was two more strings to my bow. I have now added Manicures, Pedicures, Waxing and Holistic Facials to my portfolio of treatments. It was at this time that I met another therapist who was looking for someone to work with her at a Salon one day per week. This coincided with my Husbands admin assistant, handing in her notice. So I took over the admin assistants role on a four day a week basis at my husband’s company Imperial Metal Polishing Ltd of which I am now a director. This left one day free to work in the Salon. This was a perfect solution, and after 12 months we expanded and took on a room at Topnotch Health Club where over the next two years we have developed a strong base of loyal clients.
