Stephanie regularly attends courses and meetings to keep up-to-date with developments in dance teaching. After further studies in child psychology & development and the principles of safe training related to dance/sports medicine, she graduated from Durham University in June 1999 with a BPhil(Hons) in Ballet and Contextual Studies. Stephanie is a teacher fully registered by the Royal Academy of Dancing (RAD) and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD). The school aims to provide a high standard of dance training with a caring approach, to enable pupils of all abilities to benefit from dance tuition. Dance classes offer much more than the obvious physical challenges. They can also help young people to develop life-skills and encourage their intellectual, expressive and emotional development. All pupils will be encouraged to develop individually, to gain poise, confidence and an appreciation of dance and its related subjects. Full examination training is given (exams are not compulsory) and, in addition, pupils are offered opportunities to take part in occasional workshops, performances and trips to the theatre.
