Rob joined Solid Floor in 2003. Today, as the company’s co-owner, he is responsible for the day-to-day running of the showrooms, and has played a key role in developing and expanding our range. Like Eelke, he takes a hands-on approach, collaborating closely with our client base of architects and interior designers. It’s really important to nurture those creative relationships,†says Rob. For us, there’s nothing more stimulating than working with inventive and innovative people.†Eelke has always combined creativity with entrepreneurial flair, opening Solid Floor’s first showroom in Amsterdam while still a young photography student. Later, after attending The Bartlett — the Faculty of the Built Environment at University College London — he moved to the city and began importing beautiful flooring. Today, Eelke oversees the growth of Solid Floor. Word of mouth recommendation plays a huge role in our business, and many of our private clients come to us after having seen our work in the home of a friend or colleague. We also work closely with many of the UK’s leading architects and interior designers, who trust us to deliver an exceptional product and superior service for their clients.
