In 1966 Seymour Dugan opened a small 2nd hand Furniture shop operating from his family home on Chapel Hill, Lisburn which over the following years has grown into the large interior super store here today. Seymour retired from the business in 1994 allowing his sons to acquire the business from him. The complex was then renamed Seymour Dugan Interiors incorporating Seymour Dugan Carpets and Flooring and Seymour Dugan Furniture. In 2002 the shop was expanded to accommodate another business, Seymour Rug Gallery which is Ireland's largest Rug Showroom. Unfortunately due to the down turn in the economy Seymour Dugan Furniture, like so many other businesses struggled to survive resulting in its closure in the summer of 2014. In the Autumn of the same year a new tenant was found. Seymour Beds and Furniture have been trading in the Seymour Dugan Interiors complex ever since, growing from strength to strength.
