Scallywags Day nursery is a long established nursery serving Oakham and surrounding towns and villages and is close to the railway and bus stations and within easy walking distance of the town centre. It accommodates up to 93 children ranging from 6 weeks to 5 years of age. We feel that grouping the under fives is important and vital for their development, with the ages of the children in the groups based on a child’s ability and development. We work closely with each individual child to ensure a happy journey through the nursery. Every child has a Key carer, an Early Years Practitioner assigned to them to work with you to follow your child’s development and progress. Each group has a Room Leader/Senior practitioner who has overall responsibility for their team, and is also available to talk to about your child.
