We are based in the Scottish Highlands, on the banks of the River Tay and source oak from a beautiful ancient mixed woodland, a few miles down river, which is managed to provide local, ethical and sustainable wood. All of our designs are by Angus Ross and are unique to us. Many designs are bespoke commissions and the starting point and nature of the project varies widely. For example we may be commissioned by a collector to create a memorial or heirloom object or asked by a private client to design a table for family gatherings or a chair for a specific function. Angus is also a public artist and is commissioned to design functional art for public places such as: a series of way making benches that provide a place to pause and rest (enriched with site specific poetry); or a shelter with seating for the elderly and confused when Angus designed to reassure, support and stimulate memory.
