When accountant Rona Kerr launched her practice at Tanfield Lea Business Centre in 2010, she was excited to be bringing her worry-reducing services back to her home county of Durham, after building her career across Tyneside. An ACCA qualified accountant who began her career in 1994 and has worked with small and medium sized businesses since then, Rona vows to support local business owners. "When I decided to take the step of setting up my own practice, I knew that I wanted to help relieve the burden that many business owners face with their accounts and tax. In the past I've met many skilled people who simply stick their head in the sand when it comes to the figures and then pay the price when the tax bill kicks in." Rona's view is that by building a trusting relationship with each of her clients, they can work together to help keep the client's head above the ground, confident in the knowledge that they know exactly what tax they need to pay,and when. Coupled with the no-nonsense, jargon-free catch up sessions, where they find out easy ways to make savings, clients can focus on delivering a fantastic product or service.
