Richard wanted to create a modern business centre for local businesses that provided purpose built working areas with good natural light. He felt the current office spaces available in the area were predominantly of old construction and no longer proved to be the best environment for office workers. Construction was completed on The Design Studios in 2004 and The Design Centre in 2005, they have since provided a base to many local, national and international businesses.
