Best known as the ‘letter lady ‘ creator of the original POSH Graffiti wooden alphabets, Christmas Decorations and garden furniture made from salvaged antique teak and bamboo, Emily is now focusing on how traditional artisan crafts and agroecology might generate vital revenue for marginalised farming communities and in doing so preserve their heritage and protect the forest. She is currently working with Dayak communities who live around The Katingan Mentaya Project in Kalimantan and with the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds who have worked for many years to conserve the last remaining area of lowland rainforest in Southern Sumatra where the indigenous people are fighting for survival alongside critically endangered Sumatran Tigers, Asian Elephants and many rare birds.
