He worked with J Lizars, Belfast for five years during which time he gained invaluable experience fitting complex contact lenses for the Royal Victoria and other major hospitals. Ronnie established his first practice in 1976 in Carrickfergus and still runs this and the Botanic Avenue, Belfast branch. The remaining four branches are located in Comber, Glengormley, Holywood and Larne.
