From a small seed, an idea was planted back in the seventies (by the late, great Victor Tarry, local farmer) to develop a golf course on his land somewhere in Northamptonshire. The idea was later taken up by his son Richard in the early nineties, he found the perfect place in Pytchley and the driving range was born. Shortly followed (and perhaps, most importantly) the Ironside Bar quickly emerged. Not standing still for too long, Richards vision was to take the business to the next level, which led to building a fantastic 9-hole golf course that opened in 2000 alongside a new shop area. Following in the family's footsteps, Judith joined the business to help Richard continue driving it forward, bringing us to its newest phase. 2012 saw the major construction and development of a beautiful, purpose-built function room, extension of the kitchen and refurbishment of the bar area to include a dedicated reception as well as a newly established putting green and chipping area. The Garden Room was built and Pytchley Golf Lodge evolved once again to what we know today.
