The company was formed in June 2012 by Jason Smith, who has worked in the Utility Vegetation and Construction industry for over 18 years. Jason began work as an Arborist in the power line sector and ascended up through managing teams on various electrical contracts throughout the UK. In 2008 Jason became a freelance contractor, working for various companies; carrying out vegetation clearance works for many power line and rail companies. His versatility has helped as he has worked both hands on and also delivering survey consents works. In June 2012 Jason launched Powerline Surveying Ltd, which has gone from strength to strength. He and his team work with several major contractors across the North of England now, using their services both for vegetation and for foot patrol works, surveying the actual overhead infrastructure.
