Leaving your pet for the first time with a stranger can be a very daunting experience for any pet owner, so here is a little bit about myself to hopefully reassure you. In the 90’s I took over ownership of the grooming business, and several years later, when the fourth kennel owners chose to retire, I left the boarding sector and moved my business to where it is now, where I have been since 2003. Sadly I can no longer manage the extra large breeds such as Bernese Mountain Dogs, Leonbergers, Great Dane's, Russian Black Terriers, St. Bernards's, Newfoundland's and dog's of similar size. Regrerettably, from April 2016, we stopped taking in NEW customers of SOME of the large breeds - example labradoodles (unless they have the Labrador coat) goldenoodles, Bearded Collies, Rough Collies, Old English Sheepdog's and dogs of this size with THIS TYPE of long coat. Nor are we taking on NEW customers of German Shepherds. Leaving those dogs to the younger generation. Those breeds already on my books, that I have seen within the last 12 months I will of course continue to do. This does NOT affect those customers. We are still taking on new customers of some large dog breeds, so if in doubt, please give us a call and we will see if we can help. If we cannot, we may know someone who can.
