He regularly advises employers and HR professionals on all areas of employment law issues particularly those affecting senior staff arising from corporate or management restructuring. These include TUPE, redundancy, unfair dismissal, discrimination, termination, compromise agreements, bonuses, share options, contractual issues, grievances and discipline and employment documentation. He also advises on issues relating to including equal opportunities, bullying at work, how to manage poor performance and absences due to ill health. Marty Burn also acts for employees and in particular senior executives, managers and senior academics. He regularly provides advice on contracts of employment and director’s service agreements, settlement agreements and termination packages and the tax consequences, the validity of a redundancy process, flexible working and advice on bonus schemes, commission structures or share options.
