2018 saw Northlight celebrating 10 years of delivering quality Art courses and 2019 marks the 30th Anniversary of the founding of Northlight Art Studios. Artists have long joined forces to afford large commercial premises as studio space. For Northlight this communal spirit has remained central to an enterprise that has grown hugely over the last 30 years. 2006 saw Northlight move to its current building and transform itself as a Members Cooperative and Limited Company. There are currently 24 talented artists and craftspeople with studios at Northlight. Now firmly embedded in Hebden Bridge’s cultural offer, Northlight has developed its ‘Community Engagement’ strand to become a leading provider for adult art courses in the region.
