Simon Laxton and Liz Makin set up Nikam & Nomis Limited in 2002 after working together for many years running the Thomas Cook long haul scheduled tour operator, Thomas Cook Holidays. Both Simon and Liz have many years of business knowledge and experience at senior management and director level in the travel industry, most of which has been in scheduled tour operating. Since starting Nikam & Nomis they have worked with a number of different clients both in the UK and overseas. Simon and Liz have complimentary skills and between them they have extensive knowledge and experience of scheduled tour operating and a very good knowledge of the travel industry. They have a track record of successfully running small and medium sized businesses, with 100% commitment to profit, delivery, quality and customer satisfaction. They both have excellent interpersonal skills and are very well respected by those in the travel industry and outside. Simon is a motivated, assertive and highly successful Managing Director and Executive Vice President with a track record of developing international businesses, driving forward new products and creating strategies which exploit opportunities and maximise profitability in the UK and overseas. He has worked for international companies including Thomas Cook, Grand Circle and Abercrombie and Kent, as well as being a director of Nikam & Nomis Limited and his recently formed company Anyasi and Laxton Associates Limited. Simon specialises in consultancy, project management and interim management for tour operators and destination management companies based in the UK and overseas.
