Initially using a building project manager on your project might seem like an unnecessary additional expense at an already costly time, especially if you want to work on the build yourself. But an experienced manager can identify problems before they happen so preventing expensive errors on site, as well as optimising the timing of purchases and trades to significantly improve cash flow and the quality of the end result. After obtaining an Honours degree in Building Management at Aston University, I worked for several of the largest building companies including G.Wimpey, French Kier and Kyle Stewart, giving me considerable knowledge and experience working on high value Commercial Projects. This was followed by time as a Director of Try Homes running the Try Homes House Building company in East Anglia.
